Electrified brass knuckles were seized as part of a search warrant executed by OPP. in Cochrane in connection with domestic violence.

On January 10, OPP responded to a report of harassment, and a 37-year-old person from Cochrane was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and break and enter.

The accused was released from bail court and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane at a later date.

Then on January 15, at 8 a.m., OPP executed a search warrant on a home in Cochrane and prohibited weapons were found and seized.

As a result of this investigation, the same person was arrested and charged with four counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Cochrane today.

Police say due to the domestic nature of the incident, the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
