Drugs seized in traffic stop

Earlier this month the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit started a drug investigation which led to grounds for arrest and a traffic stop was performed on Monday.

Earlier this month the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit started a drug investigation which led to grounds for arrest and a traffic stop was performed on Monday.

Two men were arrested and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of the following;

  • 18 grams of crystal methamphetamine,
  • 18 1/2 grams of cocaine,
  • 51 oxycodone tablets,
  • 170 morphine capsules
  • Two grams of fentanyl.
  • $1,903.00 in cash

The total value of the drugs seized is estimated at $15,692.

As a result, police arrested and charged Timothy Bailey, 52, of North Bay with:

  • Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking;
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance; and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

Craig McIntosh, 43, of North Bay with:

  • Five counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking;
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance; and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

McIntosh was held for a bail hearing and Bailey was released from custody and will appear in the North Bay Courthouse on November 20.
