The first significant snow squalls of the season are expected to begin this morning into this evening south of North Bay.

Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 10 to 15 cm, with higher amounts possible near Georgian Bay are expected. There will be reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

These snow squalls should shift south of the region by later this evening but may persist into the overnight hours for areas close to Georgian Bay.

Strong westerly winds followed by northwesterly winds will also accompany these snow squalls, resulting in significantly reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
