Editor's note; The staff of Dr. Grodecki wanted to express its feelings and love for a man they considered more than an employer. Dr. Grodecki died Wednesday in a plane crash near Goderich.

With heavy hearts, we take this moment to remember a man that truly was the meaning of the word kindness...
We have had the privilege, prestige and most of all the honour to have known Dr. Grodecki (or Dr. G if you will).
He was the heart of kindness and generosity; a man with the most selfless demeanour anyone could ever ask for.
We traveled many miles together; ate meals together, shared stories...we were a family. He always made sure that when we were on road trips to work the staff had what they needed; he took care of us. We all had a connection that was beyond anything to do with work. This is why we all loved him so.
It was pivotal for us to have these personal/professional connections with someone like Dr.G. Who wouldn't want that with someone that made such an impact.
Now we can only remember; his smile, laughter (we can still hear and picture when he laughed so hard) and especially those kitchen ideas of his! He always wanted us to try new foods. Those creative moments in the staff kitchen had us all intrigued and guessing what he was whipping up for us.
Who could ask for a more down to earth, humble, honest, caring and most of all lovable human being to be our mentor...our chief! If any one of us needed a moment to talk with him; he would make sure at that very moment everything around would stop and he would listen. Even with a waiting room full of patients; he would always without question, open his heart to us. Anytime.
As many of you know Dr.Grodecki had a way about him; we were all so curious about his next "crazy idea". We waited and always wanted to hear the outcome of his visions; he made those visions a reality for himself. Each and every time! He was sincerely gifted.
Through anything, this generous man would share, and be so down to earth and proud to make any of us a part of those visions.
He had nothing but compassion to simply love everyone the same. We all feel as though he left that mark in our hearts. He touched the lives of so many family and friends.
You will ALWAYS be remembered in our hearts as the strong, determined, HUMBLE human soul. We will take with us the care and compassion you showed to each and every person you took under your wing. Your gift will never be matched.
We love you and miss you deeply.
