The passing of Gord Downie has touched millions of Canadians.

Artist Jeff Marceau is one of them.

So on Thursday, he got his airbrush out and went to work and with the approval of Bob Alger, put his artistic magic in motion.

“I had the radio on all day playing the Hip in the background as I painted,” Marceau stated on his Facebook page.

“A huge thanks goes out to Bob Alger for giving me the space to do this. I will eventually put more artists on this wall but Gord Downie couldn't wait.”

Marceau attended one of the final Tragically Hip concerts in Toronto.

It’s not the first mural he has done downtown as he did a mural of David Bowie on another downtown wall earlier this fall.
