The North Bay Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT) training throughout this week at various locations throughout the city, so don't be alarmed if you see unusual enforcement activity.

"Members of the public should not be alarmed if they see an increased police presence in different areas of North Bay, including Memorial Gardens, E.W. Norman School and the Government Dock," says a news release. "The Service’s Emergency Response Team will be conducting training exercises in these locations."

The training will not result in closing any streets or disrupting daily activities for members of the public.

"The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents," says the release.
