The Downtown Improvement Area office has found a new home this month.

The DIA has officially moved its new office to the corner of Wyld and Main Street as they have moved their office into the new North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce office.

In fact, with the addition of the DIA, there are now a total of five not-for-profits under one roof at the location.

Chamber president Peter Chirico is pleased to see the DIA join them.

“Certainly the co-location of the five not-for-profits under one roof it is really a good thing, there’s lots of ideas exchanged,” said Chirico.

“When one has a problem you have four people working on that problem, if there are issues or questions regarding something and we have a lot of experience so I am really pleased with that side of things and where we have come over the past year.”

Chirico hopes that the new move is a step in the right direction in making downtown North Bay a more vibrant place.
