Here's a prescription for a good time that you can sink your teeth into,

The South River 'Friendly Circle'  is having a fundraising event that features two prominent business people in the community, Dr. "Bob" Weaver the town's dentist and Norm Lee the local pharmacist.

The two friends and business owners will enjoy the challenge of each preparing a soup to accompany a luncheon being offered to the community on February 4th between 11 and 1 at the Friendly Circle Building, the local Seniors Activity Centre.

The ticket holders will be asked to choose the better of the two soups and give the winner bragging rights.

"This offers to be a fun event and raise some funds to contribute to the upkeep of the building and its activities. It also is an opportunity for the community to view the centre and the activities that it provides to those 50 years of age and older," says Chris Hundley in a news release.

Tickets are available for $5 at the Dentist's office or the South River Pharmacy and other businesses in the town, and include the two soups, sandwich and dessert.
