The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man Friday in North Bay.
Preliminary information suggests the following:
- On the morning of January 12, the man was taken from the North Bay Jail to the court cell block.
- Later in the day, the man suffered a medical incident. He was provided with medical care and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
One investigator and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case.
