Crowbar used in attack

 Last week was a replica gun on Main St. and a Samurai sword on Memorial Dr. 

This week is starting out with a crowbar on Fisher St. and a switchblade on Ann St.

Police say on Saturday, in the early afternoon, an argument broke out between men occupying lower and upper apartments in the 300 Block of Fisher Street.

The upstairs tenant opened the door holding a crowbar and swung it at the victim striking his right hand and head.

Michael James, 33 of North Bay is charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon and
  • Breach of Probation

James was released on a Promise to appear and Undertaking

Meanwhile same day, shortly before midnight, North Bay Police officers responded to two men were fighting in the 500 Block of Ann street. An investigation revealed one man had a folding knife concealed in his waistband.

Michael Williams, 25, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Carry a concealed weapon and
  • Breach of Probation

Williams was held for a Bail hearing.
