North Bay's Cory Marquardt has been busy in the recording studio and expects to release new material this fall or in the new year.
The country/rock artist told CKAT that he's been busy laying down some new tracks.
"I've been making some trips to Vegas so we've got a full record that is hopefully ready to be released in the fall and into the new year, hopefully get a single out, but there's some big news coming, I can't say too much right now, but I've got some big things coming and I'm really excited," he says.
Marquardt says the new music can be described as a mix of Merle Haggard, Eric Church, and Ozzy Osbourne.
"So it's a bit of a mash-up of that, considering my producer does produce Disturbed and Ozzy Osbourne and Five Finger Death Punch, so it's definitely a different genre, we're going a different path, but we still maintain that country and rock vibe," he says.
"It's something different and something I'm excited for you guys to hear."
Marquardt's 'This Man' album was released in 2015.
