The Nipissing-Timiskaming Conservative Association announced Thursday night that Steven Trahan, the Deputy Mayor of East Ferris, North Bay Police officer, and local entrepreneur, will be the Conservative Candidate for Nipissing-Timiskaming.
Commenting on the acclamation, Nipissing-Timiskaming Conservative Association President Landon Trudel said local Conservatives are extremely pleased to have Steven Trahan as their candidate.
“Steven is well known and well respected in the community and is committed to working with community leaders and residents throughout the riding to give Nipissing-Timiskaming a strong voice in Ottawa,” Trudel said in a release.
Steven was born and raised in East Ferris, where he currently serves on East Ferris municipal council and previously served as a volunteer firefighter for over 19 years.
Committed to making a difference in the community, Steven has been a uniformed officer with the North Bay Police Service for 21 years and is also a small business owner operating a full-service travel agency. Steven and his wife Crystal currently reside in Astorville.
“It’s time for a change in Ottawa. Only Erin O’Toole and our Conservative Team have a real plan to get Canada back on track. I will work tirelessly to give Nipissing-Timiskaming a voice,” said Trahan.
Expecting an election as early as this fall, Trahan plans to spend the summer meeting residents across Nipissing-Timiskaming to hear directly from voters.
