Another twist in a neighbourhood watering station for dogs.
Last week we shared a story about John MacIsaac, a North Bay man living on a fixed income who set up a cooling station for dogs just outside his unit at the Carruthers Complex located between Laurentian Park and the Chippewa Walking Bridge.
MacIsaac was getting a lot of positive feedback, but after being up less than a week, he found his water tub had been vandalized and a Shepherd's pole was stolen.

That discouraged MacIsaac, as he did not want to buy a new water tub in case of being vandalized again.
However, once the story got around, some local businesses came to John's aid.
MacIsaac says AB & D Plumbing along with the SPCA, have helped restore the cooling station which now includes a dog treats bin along with the cooling station for thirsty pooches, oh, and of course a small pee post for dogs to do their business on. A security company has also offered to set him up with security cameras to help cool off potential vandals.
He is humbled by the generosity of the community.
"So many have offered to do the same as well that I have had to politely thank them but decline due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback," MacIsaac told BayToday.
"This has really touched me cause I've never been recognized for the things I do."
