OPP report a collision on Highway 17, in the construction zone near Dube Road. at approximately 6:30 this morning.
A westbound Chevrolet Cruze entered into the eastbound lane, striking an eastbound transport.
The driver of the Chevrolet had to be extricated from the car by the East Ferris Fire Department.
Both the driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation into the collision is ongoing with charges pending.
A BayToday reader reports there were long delays and the road was closed.
Police say the road is now open.
