United Way North East Ontario says it has concluded a successful fundraising partnership with Cobs Bakery located in Century Plaza, North Bay.

During August and September, Cobs donated $1 from each loaf of high-fibre bread and bag of buns sold, resulting in a total of $2,000 raised for community programs.

"These vital funds will support initiatives aimed at moving individuals and families from poverty to possibility, helping children achieve their full potential, and fostering strong and healthy communities," says a news release.

“Partnerships like this allow United Way to continue our work and provide essential supports where they are needed most. Every dollar raised locally stays local, making a real difference in the lives of those in our region,” said Tamika Daniels, Nipissing Community Engagement Coordinator.

"Cobs Bakery’s generous contribution exemplifies the spirit of community collaboration that is essential for creating lasting change. The partnership highlights how local businesses can make a meaningful impact by supporting initiatives that uplift their neighborhoods."
