City to host Murray & Roberts International

North Bay and Cementation will be hosting the Board of Murray & Roberts International this week. Cementation Canada plays a key role in the international operations of Murray & Roberts, their parent company.

Based in South Africa, the Murray & Roberts International Board meets in the various international locations where their companies carry out work. Past meeting locations include: Dubai, UAE; Perth, Australia; and London, England.

“We are very proud of our organization and are pleased to welcome the Murray & Roberts senior executive group to Canada and North Bay; this is a great opportunity for our employees to meet Brian Bruce (CEO of Murray & Roberts) and his team,” Roy Slack, President of Cementation Canada said.

Peter Adams, a director of Cementation and one of the visiting executives, will be the key note speaker at the North Bay Canadian Institute of Mining branch meeting this Wednesday, October 9. He will be discussing “Building Dubai” and the role that Murray & Roberts play as one of the major contractors in Dubai. This lunch meeting will be held at the Davedi Club at 12 noon and all are welcome.

These meetings correspond with the announcement that Cementation has been selected for the third year in a row as one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada, as featured in Macleans magazine. With headquarters in North Bay, Cementation is a mine contracting company that does underground mine development work throughout North America.
