Patient North Bay drivers are waiting in long lines this morning to take advantage of something they haven't seen since January, 2002: gasoline prices under .60 per litre.

The Canadian Tire gas bar on Algonquin Street cut its petrol prices by .25 a litre until 9 this morning, causing motorists to flock over.

Ontario Provincial Police and the North Bay Police Service have officers on the scene to direct traffic.

And while one gas bar employee said the line-up would take longer to clear up than the 9 a.m. deadline, he said those people already waiting will be able to fuel up at the discount price.
