Chamber comments on recent issues:

Young Professional Membership Category

• “I'm so excited about the opportunities this Chamber has given not only to the young professionals in our region but the opportunity for this Chamber to benefit from the energy and input from the young business minded people.” - Glenn Cundari, President

Summer in the Park Festival Funding

• “The Chamber is very disappointed in the lack of funding from the Provincial Government through the Celebrate Ontario Program. After talking to Summer in the Park committee members they have told me that of the 10 million awarded in the Province even $10,000 would have made a big difference. Summer in the Park needs to continue to grow - our members expect that, they have told us they want the event to be an economic engine for our region.” - Glenn Cundari, President

Provincial Funding for Commuting Students

• “One of the keys to a healthy business environment is the training and education of our young persons. We applaud the recent announcement of the Province in assisting students in travel costs. Given the distance many people in our area travel this will especially help Northern Ontario students.” - Glenn Cundari, President
