Les Compagnons des francs loisirs and the City of North Bay have joined forces once again to organize a celebration underlining Franco-Ontarian Day.
We are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Franco-Ontarian flag, the 10th anniversary of Franco-Ontarian Day, and the proposed Bill 182 presently awaiting Royal Assent.
The event will be held this Friday, September 25 at 8:45 a.m. live-streamed from Léger Square at the North Bay City Hall. North Bay city councillor Johanne Brousseau will be present at the flag-raising with the new team at Les Compagnons.
Organizers invite everyone to celebrate in this green and white online party, the colours of the Franco-Ontarian flag, by adding a francophone frame to their Facebook profile picture, by posting pictures of themselves wearing green and white or by posting franco-Ontarian images on their social media channels.
All Francophone and Francophile organizations, as well as members of the community, are invited to participate in this online celebration by following the Facebook page (@centrecompagnons.ca).
