Eleven capital projects which were closed in March have come in well under budget.
A report was received at Monday night’s committee meeting of council which listed the projects and their estimated surplus or deficit. It showed an overall surplus of $200,000 from the projects.
Only one, a tree-planting project, was in the red, and for only $1,440. On the other end of the spectrum, though, one project, a systems technology program came in $92,000 below budget. The Margaret Street erosion control project also came in well under budget, by $45,000.
The new money, and $176,000 from the Capital Works Reserve Fund, a total of $376,000, will now be transferred into a CFB Pumping Station Reserve Fund.
