Christmas cheer was spread Friday as Callander Legion Br. 445 members delivered gifts to area veterans at Nipissing Manor, Empire Living and St. Joseph’s Motherhouse.
Unilever of Toronto, Giant Tiger on Algonquin Avenue and North Bay Canadian Tire donated to the effort with the rest supported by the Callander Poppy Fund.
Among the recipients were Sister Francis, a Second World War veteran, and Emmett Busch, along with a list chosen by random draw.
