Crack cocaine, marihuana, prescription drugs and cash have been seized from a Parry Sound residence. Further information is included in the following news release from the Ontario Provincial Police and the North Bay Police Service:
(Parry Sound, On) Project Northern Gateway,a joint investigation between members of the Ontario Provincial Police OPP Drug Enforcement, North East Region OPP and North Bay Police service, assisted by members of the West Parry Sound OPP Crime Unit and the West Parry Sound OPP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Parry Sound Road residence, resulting in the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, marihuana, prescription drugs and cash.
A male and female were arrested at the scene and held pending a bail hearing in Parry Sound court scheduled for Tuesday the 21st of November 2005. The crack cocaine, marihuana and pills seized have an estimated street value of approximately $1600.
Approximately $1400 in cash was seized as well as a bulletproof vest. The execution of this search warrant was the result of a two-month investigation into the distribution of drugs in the Town of Parry Sound.
