The local Brick franchise will be part of a fundraising day Tuesday for the Children’s Miracle Network.

"At the Brick North Bay, we are committed to the health and well-being of children," says spokeswoman Beth Jackson.  "We truly feel children are the foundation of our future, and we are dedicated to helping them live their lives to the fullest."

Over the last number of years, The Brick has focused its charitable efforts to support Children’s Miracle Network and local children’s hospitals across Canada. Children’s Miracle Network supports and raises funds for 13 children’s hospitals across the country.

"Through comfort, treatment and hope, Children’s Miracle Network touches more lives of sick and injured children and their families than any other children’s charity," says a news release. "The Brick has a long and strong history of giving and making a difference in our communities. Our support of the Children’s Miracle Network continues this longstanding commitment."

"Since 2014, our partnership with Children’s Miracle Network, and with the efforts of our team and our customers, we have raised over $7.8 million dollars. Those funds go toward the purchase of life-saving equipment and technology, research and training, therapy, and programs that benefit sick children across Canada."

All funds raised stay local, meaning money will go directly to support Children’s hospitals and will benefit children in northern Ontario.

On Tuesday December 8, Brick stores will be holding their first-ever Children’s Miracle Network telethon fundraising day.

"We will be reaching out to Friends, Family, Neighbors, Customers, Local Vendors and Businesses like yourselves asking for assistance to contribute to this great cause," says Jackson.
