The Near North District School Board voted this evening to consolidate three high schools down to two.
It wasn't a unanimous vote, but the Board has decided to close Widdifield and keep West Ferris and Chippewa open.
The vote was 5-3 with one trustee absent.
The decision follows the recommendation of the Accommodation Review Committee.
