'Bon Carnaval'

The 44th Annual Les Compagnons “Le Carnaval” opens this weekend.

The Official Opening Ceremonies are slated for Sunday, February 11 at Memorial Gardens at 1:30 p.m. followed by traditional Carnaval Supper at Paroisse St. Vincent de Paul, however, the fun unofficially kicks off today with the King and Queen Gala at Le Centre Culturel Les Compagnons hall.

Other noteworthy activities include; a salute to the Arts and a French language movie at the Capitol Centre, performances for school aged kids at the Capitol Centre, Snow Sculptures at area French schools, Games Night, community dances. Event programs are available at Caisse Populaire, area French schools and in the lobby during all events.

Closing ceremonies will be at Les Compagnons on Sunday February 18th with the grand finale of Bonhomme being unmasked.
