The Powassan Voodoos have fired their coach Beau Moyer.

"They told me they were going in a different direction,"  a disappointed Moyer told BayToday this morning.

"I'm having a very tough time with this. I don't really want to talk about it right now."

Moyer confirmed that the account given by his father Al yesterday to BayToday is "100 per cent accurate."

He added, however, he is getting "lots of positive feedback" from friends.

Team officials have referred questions to league commissioner Robert Mazzuca. However, Mazzuca has not been returning media inquiries.

Hearst Lumberjacks President Patrick Vaillancourt was short and to the point.

"Good Afternoon Jeff. We will not comment. Thanks."
