Sandra Battaglini, Canada’s best female stand-up comic of 2016, is headlining the North Bay Comedy for Cancer Cure show at the Davedi Club June 14.

The Sudbury native based in Toronto is an award-winning comedian, actor, and writer with more than two decades of stage experience according to a news release.

She tours with the nationwide Yuk Yuks comedy club chain and has performed in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles and was a semi-finalist in the She Devil Comedy Competition in NYC.

All proceeds from this comedy fundraiser are going to the North Bay Relay for Life event June 22, which is hosted at CFB North Bay by 22 Wing volunteers. Bies is the 2018 Relay for Life Honourary Survivor.

Richard Catahan, of North Bay, is the title sponsor for the comedy fundraiser with his $500 donation directly to the CCS. Secondary VIP table reservation sponsorships are available for a separate $100 donation to CCS North Bay Relay for Life (after the purchase of 10 tickets at $20 each). A hospitality sponsorship to accommodate the event’s headliner is also being sought.

Before the comedy show starts at 8 p.m., musician Verdon Vaillancourt, the 2017 Relay for Life Honourary Cancer Survivor, will entertain beginning after the doors open at 7 p.m.

The Davedi Club will be hosting a cash bar for this event.

Contact Dale at (705) 498-2050 or Bies at (705) 303-3315 for North Bay Comedy for Cancer Cure tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
