A loud argument outside a downtown apartment building led to beatings and assault charges early Saturday morning.
Police say the argument took place at approximately 2:35 a.m.
A male tenant of that apartment building was inside his apartment with his male roommate and a female friend.
He opened his apartment door, at which time the arguing man and woman from outside, forced their way through the doorway and into his apartment.
The man then began to beat the male tenant, while the woman attacked his female friend.
When the male victim’s roommate tried to stop the assault, the intruder began to beat him as well.
The couple then left the apartment, but North Bay Police located and arrested both of them outside of the apartment building shortly thereafter.
Police charged James Joseph Hendry, age 32, of North Bay, with:
- one count of break, enter and commit; and
- two counts of assault.
Police charged Kelsey Theresa Larue, age 20, of Redbridge, with:
- one count of break, enter, and commit; and
- one count of assault.
Both were held in custody for bail hearings.
The three victims did not require medical attention as a result of the attack.
