When America's Got Talent airs tonight (NBC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.) there will be a familiar face, or two, on stage.
Former North Bay resident Sara Carson and her dog Hero will perform a routine on the hugely popular TV show.
"When you audition for America's Got Talent and your life basically changes the next day," Carson wrote on her Facebook page. "I auditioned for the show in March and my life changed that month. I met someone who I couldn't imagine my life without, partnered with two incredible developers for a new project, performed in front of 4,000 people and now it's going to be broadcast for the world to see.
"Life for me kinda sucked and in some weird way it all worked out."
Carson studied graphic design at Canadore College, and established Paws Up Dog Training in the city. She previously appeared on The David Letterman Show.

On America’s Got Talent’s tonight Sara "blows the judges away with her dog-training pirate-theme routine", as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek says the show's website.
Judge Simon Cowell asks Sara what she would do if she won the show and its million-dollar prize.
“Honestly, I would use the money to show people how to train their dogs with positive reinforcement,” she said. “And have fun with them!”
In the routine Sara pulls out a sword to begin the routine with her five-year-old dog, Hero.
"The NBC show’s judges, who include Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel, looked excited throughout the routine. During the performance's finale, in which Hero stood on top of his owner, Cowell, 57, gave the contestant a standing ovation," according to the website.
