On Wednesday, April 9, the 2nd Annual Food Bank Awareness Dinner will take place at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The dinner will feature a variety of delicious, gourmet soups and desserts made by students in the hospitality program.
The food bank at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School has been operating for the past 10 years, and had its official launch three years ago.
Over 400 students use the school’s Breakfast program every week, and approximately 100 students access the food bank at the school for lunches, clothing, hygiene products and food to take home.
Members of the community and media are invited to attend the dinner and enjoy musical entertainment provided by students.
Admission to the 2nd Annual Food Bank Awareness Dinner is by either cash and/or food donation.
A pottery bowl, made by Art students at the school will be given to each guest.
