With less than two weeks to go until the Victim Services of Nipissing District’s second annual “Dancing with the Stars” event, six celebrity couples aren’t trusting anything to chance so they are pulling out all the stops, getting every rehearsal they can and leaving it all on the studio floor.
Since December the six celebrities Dr. Stephanie Brill, Dr. Scott Shulman, Constable Melodee Prevost (NBPS), Sergeant Noel Coulas (NBPS), Staff Sgt. Jeff Dagg (OPP) and Marc Lavigne, Principal, with their seasoned partners, have been burning up the dance floor learning all the ballroom dance routines in order to compete for top honours and take home the coveted star trophy.
Sergeant Noel Coulis, who is paired up with Mabel Hernandez from Dance Obsessed, says participating in the event has been a true commitment with at least five hours of scheduled rehearsal each week and more if they can squeeze it in around both their work schedules.
The event, which takes Saturday, February 26th at the Clarion Resort, is great fun and will see the couples judged by a set of professional dance judges and the audience.
This is a formal gala evening with a sit down dinner. Cocktails start at 6:00 p.m. with dinner at 7:00pm. The dance competition will commence after dinner. Tickets are $100.00 per person.
All proceeds will go to assisting victims of crime and tragic circumstances in North Bay, Mattawa and Sturgeon Falls. A tax receipt for a portion of the ticket will be available.
Tickets are selling fast so be sure to get yours now by calling 705-472-2649.
the audience will be in for an amazing performance. There will also be a silent auction taking place all evening with wonderful items up for bid.
