Airport Manager Jack Santerre issued a statement Friday afternoon.
"Yesterday afternoon, YYB Jack Garland Airport suffered a partial power system failure that caused some flight delays, no flights were cancelled. As of yesterday evening all of our flights returned to their normal schedule. We apologize for the challenges this created for travellers. As of 9:30 a.m. today all systems were restored. Once again we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to our customers.
"The cause was due to a failure in a switch gear unit for our emergency power system and the areas affected were the terminal, administration building and maintenance garage which lost partial power."

There are reports this afternoon that the North Bay Airport is currently without power, and has been for about 90 minutes.
The problem occurred around 3 p.m.
Everyone is delayed going through security, flights have been delayed, and for many, connections will be missed.
Calls to the airport go unanswered, but the website says an afternoon Air Canada departure flight was delayed an hour, while a Porter flight due out at 4:10 p.m. has also been delayed an hour.
The lights are on in the Arrivals lounge, but not the Departure area.
The website makes no mention of a power outage and a security spokesman had no comment and the airport has no Twitter account to advise of problems.
One traveller complained to BayToday "Zero communication from airport officials to travelers on cause or whether anything is being done to fix the problem.
"It was brutal...no backup power for security...No x-ray so every passenger had to have each bag turned inside out and full body pat down."
