Nate Erskine-Smith has shown in his two-plus terms as a federal politician that has a reputation for an independent streak and willingness to speak his mind. Politics can be done differently, and now his travels bring him to North Bay as he explores a bid for Ontario Liberal Party leader.
Billed by his supporters as a "different kind of politician," Erskine-Smith has consistently worked across party lines to get things done in his role as MP for Beaches—East York. He has been travelling across the province to consult Ontarians about their vision for the province and the issues that political leaders should prioritize.
Wednesday, Erskine-Smith will meet with the administration and students from Nipissing University and Canadore College in the afternoon, before chatting with community members at Twiggs on Cartier Street in North Bay.
