Dignitaries were piped along Main Street to the band area for the official opening ceremonies, where they gave words of praise to the organizing committee, and thanks to everyone in attendance.

Area politicians then gave it their best shot at the 'world famous' pancake toss competition, a work in progress for most.

Roughly 250 local vendors sold their wares which included everything from preserves and baked goods to  lawn ornaments and furniture.

The family atmosphere was evident with a variety of activities for the children.

And of course maple being the theme, everything imaginable that could be made out of the tasty treat was eagerly scooped up by visitors.

It was a day of fun and memories, much of it captured in pictures to be pulled out and enjoyed for years to come.
