A two-vehicle collision late Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Airport Road and Algonquin Avenue has backed up most of the traffic heading northbound on Highway 11.
A woman driving a red vehicle was taken by Nipissing Ambulance Service to the North Bay Regional Health Centre to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. According to a witness, the black vehicle was northbound and entered the intersection against the light when it hit the red vehicle.
North Bay Fire and Emergency Services personnel and OPP are still at the scene. Highway 11 northbound is blocked at the intersection but vehicles can still head north via Airport Road.
