17 North Bay convenience stores approved to sell liquor in September

More could be approved when newly licenced convenience stores begin selling on Sept. 5.

The Circle K on O'Brien Street is one of the 17 convenience stores and gas bars that have applied for liquor licenses effective September 5, 2024.

At least 17 convenience stores and gas stations in North Bay have been given the green light to sell alcohol, beginning shortly after the Labour Day long weekend.

According to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, 17 North Bay applications have been approved for locations listed as convenience stores, as of July 7.

More could be approved when newly licenced convenience stores begin selling on Sept. 5.

The application process opened June 17.

The list of North Bay-approved stores, as of July 8, is below:

  • Lakeview Grocery & Spykes Gas Bar - 3790 Trout Lake Road

  • Downtown Variety - 180 Main Street East 
  • Esso/Waypoint Dugas Bay - 890 ON-17 
  • Circle K - 1100 Lavery Street 
  • Circle K - 1126 Fisher Street
  • Circle K #26 - 1867 O'Brien Street
  • Esso/Waypoint Trout Lake - 2260 Trout Lake Road
  • Circle K - 524 Lakeshore Drive
  • Esso/Waypoint Thibeault Hill - 2701 ON-11
