The scene was captured in a live video posted by the local business “Mr. Greens Novelties,” a cannabis novelty boutique.

At one point, a man taking part in the protest against COVID-19 restrictions told the woman taking the live video he had collected all of the tickets and tabulated the grand total, which added up to $10,000.

“They’re ticketing us for doing peaceful protests,” said the woman capturing the live video. “All of these tickets are unconstitutional.”

She said she is not “anti-mask,” but rather “pro-choice and freedoms and rights.”

“We are just protesting for our rights and freedoms,” she said. “This is not Nazi Germany.”

A “Freedom Rally” vehicle convoy also took place in Greater Sudbury Sunday afternoon. Mr. Greens Novelties also shared a live video of that event.
