Patty Hajdu, the Minister responsible for FedNor, is joined by Northern Ontario MPs, regional mayors, dignitaries, steering committee members and FedNor representatives for a ribbon cutting to officially open the FedNor-funded Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NAMES) pavilion at the 2025 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada's (PDAC) International Convention .
This year's edition of PDAC takes place in Toronto from March 2-5 and is projected to attract more than 27,000 attendees from 135 countries.
As the largest pavilion at PDAC, NOMS features 112 Northern Ontario businesses and organizations and highlights the wealth of products, services and investment opportunities the region has to offer.
Designed to showcase Northern Ontario, a recognized region of mining excellence, NOMS helps businesses in their efforts to scale up, increase sales and exports, and create high-quality jobs. Since its inception in 2015, the FedNor-funded pavilion has nearly tripled in size and helped participants create over 900 jobs and generate more than $100 million in increased sales.
