Now a new study — called Running On Empty — sheds more light on just how bad the crisis has become. Based on 26 interviews with CUPE hospital workers in Ontario, including nurses, personal support workers and clerical staff, the study paints a dire picture of what it's like to work in those health-care professions right now.
Joining us to talk about the study is co-author James Brophy, a researcher at the University of Windsor. If you care about our public health care system, this is a must-watch interview.
