November 30th will mark another anniversary since you left three years ago. So many times I hear myself saying “Mom used to say ………”. It is like you are always nearby and guiding me in what I do. I think of you every day and always say goodnight Mom. I miss your presence in my life, your quick humor, your quiet wisdom and always that lovely smile. You were brave to come to Canada a 19 year old War Bride with a small infant in your arms. It was the first time you ever left your home and you crossed Canada to arrive in Regina, surrounded by strangers. Always in the coming years, you kept in touch with family and friends, corresponding for life with the those in England. You accepted the difficulties (and there were many) and you recognized the blessings and made sure we did as too. When the smallest good fortune came our way, you would say ‘we sure are lucky ducks’. Now, looking back, I see you were right and the fact that you were my mom made me ‘the luckiest duck ever’. I love you mom. Terri
