Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Anti-Human Trafficking Manager, the Nurse carries out a pre- admission physical and mental health evaluation to enter live-in programming services. The Anti-Human Trafficking Nurse is responsible for assisting clients transition to a live- in treatment setting. The Anti-Human Trafficking Nurse conducts comprehensive clinical assessments, assists in the development of service plans, works with professional and paraprofessional services, monitors services provided, reassesses clients monthly or as need and plans for discharge ensuring that medication refills are provided, and any ongoing medicals completed. The Nurse is responsible for implementing the above responsibilities in an integrated manner. The Anti-Human Trafficking Nurse may assist Anti-Human Trafficking staff to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of client focused services. The Anti-Human Trafficking Nurse promotes the mission and philosophy of Dilico Anishinabek Family Care and assists with program planning and development, resource utilization management, continuing education, quality assurance, and risk management throughout the catchment area, to ensure that the delivery meet the goals and objectives of the Agency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A four-year BScN degree or a 3-year Practical Nursing diploma is required
One (1) years’ experience in nursing assessment skills with special emphasis on home care
One (1) years’ experience working in a First Nation community or equivalent organization
Satisfactory Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Search
Travel is essential to the First Nation communities serviced by Dilico Health Services; ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Unit Manager or designate in relation to service delivery requirements
Must have a valid CPR and Standard First Aid certificate
As a regulated health care provider, must provide evidence of registration with the appropriate regulatory bodies (CNO & RNAO)
Must possess a valid G Driver’s License and access to a reliable personal vehicle and must have $1,000,000 liability insurance
