About the Presenter:
Dr. Francisco Gerardo Toledo Ramírez
We are thrilled to have the renowned Dr. Francisco Gerardo Toledo Ramírez lead this inspiring Masterclass.
Dr. Toledo is a distinguished visual artist, designer, and academic with an impressive career spanning decades. He holds a PhD in Media Studies (2012) from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and multiple Master's degrees in Visual Arts, Painting, Theater, and Experimental Graphics (Florence, Italy, 1981) and Visual Arts (ENAP, UNAM, Mexico). He also has a Bachelor of Design in Graphic Communication from UAM Azcapotzalco, Mexico.
As a full-time Professor and Researcher at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Azcapotzalco Campus, Dr. Toledo has been teaching design since 1983 and has published extensively on topics such as creativity theories, digital aesthetics, and the pedagogy of design. His research bridges the gap between technology, design, culture, and society, with a focus on new media, virtual worlds, and transdisciplinary approaches.
Dr. Toledo’s creative work has been exhibited internationally, from Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. to Japan, Sweden, and Italy, and is part of prestigious collections, including the Modern Art Museum of Setagaya, Japan, and the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, University of Toronto, Canada.
His unique perspective integrates art, design, and media studies, making his approach to teaching both eclectic and transdisciplinary. Dr. Toledo’s expertise and passion promise an engaging, thought-provoking session that will inspire participants to explore their creative potential like never before.
