Urgent Response Services Coordinator

The successful candidate will screen incoming referrals to determine eligibility for Urgent Response Services, provide service navigation for those not appropriate for Urgent Response Services, and prepare comprehensive biopsychosocial intake documentation with the family and/or the youth, educators and pre-existing service providers in order to disposition to appropriate Urgent Response Services. The candidate will use clinical judgement to assess/analyze the nature and level of need, the strengths of the child/youth and family to inform the single behaviour that will be supported through URS. In addition, the candidate will facilitate meetings of relevant clinicians to refine and coordinate the delivery of the URS service elements and ongoing meetings of community teams supporting the client and family, as well as support the development, monitoring and updating of the URS Service Plan.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of both theory and the application of systemic interventions, Autism, child development, childhood disorders and syndromes, family/individual assessments and intervention. The candidate will possess a degree in one of the social sciences or helping professions. Experience in and ability to coordinate services, to empower clients and conduct comprehensive needs assessments is required. A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and current insurance are required, as travel throughout the assigned area may be expected. The successful candidate must provide a clear vulnerable sector criminal reference check. Bilingualism is considered an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to primarily work from home.
