MAN PREVENTED FROM LEAVING HOME
On March 7 at approximately 6 PM a man and a woman were visiting a male within the city of North Bay. Itβs alleged that a verbal argument ensued between this man and the woman and the residence owner tried to intervene.
It is further alleged that he was grabbed by the throat and threatened with death by the male visitor. The owner tried to leave and call police, but was prevented from doing so by the man. This man then continued pushing the female around the residence. He eventually left and the North Bay Police were called. The next day Cst. Joe Gardiner and Csst. Randy Adair located the man in question on a downtown street, and arrested him.
David Roy MISSABIE, 44, of no fixed address is charged with assault, uttering death threats and forcible confinement. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
YOUTH ATTACKED ON STREET
On March 8 shortly before 9 PM a 15-year-old male youth was walking in the area of Third Avenue W and Cassells Street when he was approached by two male teenagers. He was then pushed to the ground and punched and kicked. No serious injuries resulted and the youths fled the area.
They are described as both 16 years old and 5β7.
One of them has freckles and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and pants, and a grey hat. The other had a thin build and wore prescription glasses. He was wearing a dark coat and a green ball cap.
