A traffic stop by local police officers has led to the arrest of three North Bay residents on drug trafficking charges.
At 9:15 p.m. on November 30, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 500 block of First Avenue East.
The driver, Warren Jesso, was arrested for driving while under suspension, and while investigating, police saw cannabis and an accompanying glass water pipe commonly known as a “bong” inside the vehicle. Police also found illegal drugs and prescription medication, which were not the rightful property of the accused.
At this point, two others were also arrested.
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- one 4mg morphine pill
- 127 8mh morphine pills
- 45 100mg morphine capsules
- nine 5mg oxycodone pills
- 14 10mg oxycodone pills
- seven clonazepam pills
- 240 methamphetamine tablets
- 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- Drug trafficking materials
- $1,300 cash
The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $4,780.
Warren Jesso, 47, is charged with:
- Four counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Two counts of driving while under suspension
- Drive a motor vehicle with no permit
- Fail to surrender an insurance card
Billy Michelle Lynn Paton, female, 35, and Andrew Robert Seaborn, 37, are each charged with:
- Four counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
All were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the court on January 7, 2025.
