Police arrested and charged the driver with impaired driving charges after a traffic complaint.
On August 2, shortly after 6 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle after a concerned citizen reported a possible impaired driver heading towards Dubuc Road, West Nipissing.
Police located the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, it was determined that the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was arrested for impaired driving. The driver was then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Andree JACKSON, 48 years of -age, from West Nipissing was charged with, operation while impaired - blood drug concentration and operation while impaired - alcohol.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on September 5 in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
