North Bay woman facing weapons and drug charges

'Unprovoked, the accused exited her residence, yelling at the victim'

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a 46-year-old woman with assault and weapons offences.

On October 19, the victim, who is known to the accused, was outside in the parking lot of his residence.

"Unprovoked, the accused exited her residence, yelling at the victim," ay police. "The accused then assaulted the victim and went back inside her residence to retrieve a knife. Returning with the knife, the accused approached the victim in a threatening manner."

The victim was not hurt as a result of the incident.

At 1:15 p.m. the same day, a woman was arrested by members of the North Bay Police Service.

A search resulted in the seizure of:

  • 6 grams of Fentanyl
  • A hunting knife
  • Pepper spray
  • $2,100 in cash

The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $2,000.

Sasha Cindy Carriere, 46, of North Bay, is charged with:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Assault
  • Fail to Comply with a probation order
  • Two counts of carrying a concealed weapon
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

Carriere was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
