Burk's Falls man faces numerous weapons and assault charges

The Crime Unit executed a search warrant and found and seized numerous firearms and ammunition

A weapons call resulted in one person being arrested and charged with numerous criminal weapons offence charges.

On October 17 at 3:30 a.m., Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to a call for help at a residence in the Township of Ryerson, where a gunman threatened another person with a firearm.

In addition, at approximately 8 p.m. that night, the Crime Unit executed a search warrant and found and seized numerous firearms and ammunition.

Marc Reaman, 39, of Burks Falls was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm - choke, suffocate, or strangle
  • Utter threats - cause death or bodily harm
  • Carry a concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Four counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Two counts of careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
  • Four counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition 

 Reaman was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
