Over 5,000 vote in Nipissing advance polls

Elections Ontario says more than 5,000 people took advantage of three days of advance polling in Nipissing.

In comparison to the last provincial election in 2022, that number is down from the 10,650 people who voted over 10 days of advance polling.  

Here are the 2025 advance polling numbers for the BayToday coverage area.

The first number is the total ballots cast at an Advance Voting Location during the 3-day advance voting period and does not count anyone who voted by Special Ballot at their Local Election Office. 

The second number is a percentage of the registered voters within the electoral district who cast a ballot at an Advance Voting Location.

Thursday voting is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

The weather is expected to be mainly cloudy in the morning then scattered flurries in the afternoon and a high of plus 1,

The last time Ontarians went to the polls in 2022, the province recorded the lowest voter turnout in its election history and not much change is expected this time.

In June 2022, just 44 per cent of 10.7 million eligible voters cast a ballot in a victory for Doug Ford's Progressive Conservatives.
