On Tuesday, Feb. 5 the Nipissing University Political Science Society is hosting an all-candidates’ debate, but PC Party candidate Vic Fedeli has refused to attend, The debate runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
David Edward Tabachnick, a professor of political science at Nipissing, noted in a release “This event provides an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and the North Bay community members to hear directly from candidates about their platforms and key issues affecting our region.”
Colton Chaput of the Green Party, Vic Fedeli of the Progressive Conservatives, Loren Mick of the NDP and Michelle Lashbrook of the Libertarian, have all been invited. As has Liberal candidate Laim McGarry. McGarry has been a no-show throughout the campaign as a parachute candidate in a riding where the Liberals are in disarray.
